10/18/2021 @ 10a – Village Green – Fall planter clean-out
Location: Enter on Knox Lane off of Hubbard St. Park in visitor parking area
Task: Plants are free for taking. Many make great house plants or can be overwintered for next year. (Canna rhizomes are not being given away. GPIP regrows them every year with the help of the students at Gideon Welles School. Also, the Dogwood Shrubs remain in the planters for next year.)
Tools: If you have, bring gloves, hand trowel, clippers, shovel, garden fork anything to help remove the plants and a debris bucket. Cannas are particularly difficult at times.
