Welles-Shipman-Ward Colonial Garden – 5/8/2019 @ 3pm & 5/19/2019 @ 9am

Wednesday –  May 8th @  3pm
Sunday –  May 19th @  9am
Welles-Shipman-Ward House (on Main St.)

It’s time to plant the Garden! The Colonial Kitchen Garden is a wonderful way to learn how to grow a vegetable garden. Come out to help plant the seeds for various types of veggies that are great for storing. These vegetables are used by the Historical Society for cooking demonstrations as they did in Colonial times. We start the planting on Wednesday, May 8th, and will finish up on Sunday, May 19th. The May 19th planting will include planting flowers that are good for drying.  This is a wonderful educational event.

REMINDER:
For all events please
bring your favorite trowel, if you have one, gloves if you don’t like to get your hands dirty, and personal drinking water.   If you don’t have these items, let us know and we will supply extras for your use.
