6/5/2022 @ 12pm – Pitch In Glastonbury – celebrating Sierra Club’s 50 years

Posted on May 17, 2022January 31, 2025

Pitch In Glastonbury – on June 5th from noon to 2pm, GPIP will partner with the Sierra Club local members in celebrating their 50th years of service to the world. Plastic gloves, garbage bags, and a few pickers will be made available. Meet near the fountain to pick up the items you need. Or better yet, bring your own gloves, garbage bags and pickers.  Definitely bring your own refreshment. It could be a hot day that day. Wouldn’t that be nice.

The Sierra Club Mission is:

Mission Statement

  • To explore, enjoy, and protect the wild places of the earth;
  • To practice and promote the responsible use of the earth’s ecosystems and resources;
  • To educate and enlist humanity to protect and restore the quality of the natural and human environment; and to use all lawful means to carry out these objectives

GPIP challenges other eco passionate groups to join in this celebration and encourage all residents of Glastonbury to come out to participate too. What a wonderful gift to give Mother Earth by helping to clean it up starting with our own Riverfront Park.
